Lithurin instruction for use

Requirements for concrete surfaces:

  • age of concrete: 7 days in temperature of +15-20°C and 14 days in temperature of +10-14°C;
  • no lime deposits;
  • temperature of the surface not below +5°C;

Surface preparation:

  • Clean the surface with vacuum cleaner or scrubber dryer machine.

Application instructions Lithurin I :

  • Dilute with water 1:1. Use a water can and pour evenly over the surface. Distribute with soft-bristle brush until all puddles have gone. Avoid leaving footprints. Let dry.

Consumption:

  • Machine trowelled surface: approx 0,1 litre per m2;
  • Non machine trowelled surface: approx 0,2-0,4 litre per m2.

Application instructions Lithurin I with scrubber dryer machine:

  • Use scrubber dryer machine with black scouring nylon.
    • Step 1: Dilute Lithurin I with water, 1:1 and fill the machine. Go over the surface with the scrubber on and the vacuum off. Apply all the material.
    • Step 2: Fill the machine with pure water. Go over the surface again using both scrubbing and vacuuming functions. A clean even surface should appear. Let dry.

Consumption:

  • Machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,1 litre per m2;
  • Non machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,2-0,4 litre per m2.

Lithurin II is more suitable for older, less dense floors.
Lithurin II S is more suitable for new, more dense floors and can also be used for single treatment.

Instructions for Lithurin ll after pre-treatment with Lithurin l:

  • Use a water can and pour evenly over the surface. Distribute with soft-bristle brush until most puddles have gone. Use a rubber rake to distribute the last material evenly while still wet. A shiny surface should appear. Let dry.

Consumption:

  • Machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,15 litre per m2;
  • Non machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,2-0,4 litre per m2.

Instructions for Lithurin ll S after pre-treated with Lithurin l

  • Can be applied as soon as the first treatment with Lithurin I has dried. Apply Lithurin II S using a water can and a soft-bristle brush. Work into the surface to ensure good absorption. Keep the surface wet for 20–30 minutes by brushing the surface 2-3 times. If the surface starts drying, pour on more Lithurin II Special and brush. If left too long it will become sticky.
    Remove most of the excess material with a squeegee while it is still in liquid form. Distribute the remainder with a soft brush or Lindec Sweeper. An evenly moistened surface should appear.

Consumption:

  • Machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,125 litre per m²;
  • Non machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,2-0,4 litre per m².

Make sure that no areas are dry during the absorbance period. The best way to avoid this is to work with the brush or add more Lithurin II S.

Instructions for singel treatment with Lithurin ll S

  • The surface must be free from moisture curing compound, dirt and dust. To avoid problems with absorption, grind the surface to clean it thoroughly, using fine-grained sandpaper that does not scratch the surface. Then vacuum clean the surface carefully.

  • Machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,15 litre per m²;
  • Non machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,2-0,4 litre per m².

Make sure that no areas are dry during the absorbance period. The best way to avoid this is to work with the brush or add more Lithurin II Special.

Instructions for concrete moisture curing and dust binding with Lithurin II Special

  • Application after trowelling. Can be used as a moisture curing and floor sealer for concrete and hard concrete. Lithurin II Special can be applied on the newly poured concrete floor as a moisture curing. As soon as the surface is walkable, apply Lithurin II S with a water can and a soft-bristle brush. Work into the surface to obtain good absorption.

  • Machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,12-0,16 litre per m²;
  • Non machine trowelled surface: approx. 0,2-0,4 litre per m².

Make sure that no areas are dry during the absorbance period. The best way to avoid this is to work with the brush or add more Lithurin II Special.

Tested and approved as moisture curing according to BS7542:1992, with 79% efficiency based on 0,16-0,17 litre per m2, while used as moisture curing, 75 % is demanded. Test result can be send upon request.
