Water reducer / plasticizer
Extra water is often added to make concrete easier to work with. When more water is added you also need to add more cement, resulting in a weaker concrete and a greater shrinkage. To counteract this, the method of vacuum treatment to reduce the amount of water has been used up until now.
These days less water is used, and a water reducer, Lino Flow, a so called plasticizer is added.
Lino Flow is naphthalene based water reducing / plasticizing additive for concrete, when you want to achieve simpler handling of the concrete, better and safer with less risk for separation. Suitable for floors that will be machine trowelled. Linoflow compensates the water that makes the concrete workable. Less shrinkage and a stronger concrete is achieved.
Add Linoflow at the concrete mixing plant or straight into the concrete lorry on site.
Dosage: Normal dosage of Linoflow is appr. 0,7 - 1% of the cement weight, i.e. 0,80 lit (1 kg) per 100 kg of cement, based on 1%.
Packaging and storage: Lino Flow comes in 30 kg cans or 1185 kg bulk container with a tapping cock. Store free from frost. Should Linoflow freeze, let thaw and stir.
Instruction for use:
- Automatic dosage equipment for weight or volume dosage is recommended be wear of density and dryness.
- Add Lino Flow N in connection with the mixing water at the earliest
- Over dosage of Lino Flow N can give stone separation when the flow consistence and wrong proportional concrete is supplied
- Recommended mixing time is minimum 5 to 10 minutes. All depending on mixers model and type.
- Recommended consumption is approx. 0,5-1,5% of the cement weight.
- The effect of using Lino Flow N can vary depending on what cement is to be used.
- A sample with the raw materials shall therefore always be done in order to find out the efficiency.
- All tools and machines shall be cleaned with water.
