The rubber strip applicator is used for fast, direct application of rubber strip on concrete floors.
It can be used with specially formed resin profiles.
The technology used in the machine reduces the effect of crack-forming factors on the floor that occur as a result of concrete shrinkage, temperature variations and the influence of the uneven loading of concrete slabs.
The rubber strip can be used twice without relaying: firstly as protection and then as sealant. Thus, it is possible to economise materials needed for creating strips and to reduce the total cost of floors.
Cutting temperature strips
Once the concrete floors have been created, on the day after laying the floor, temperature strips should be cut. Such strips allow areas of weakness in the concrete slab to be identified early on and “to programme” the position of the cracks.
Correctly created temperature strips protect the floor surface against cracks resulting from temperature variations and shrinkage of the concrete when hardening.
Please see the detailed description of various technological creations for concrete floors lindec flooring system 1-5.
Applying the rubber strip
After cutting the temperature strips they should be left open for a minimum of 6 months before sealing. To avoid soiling the strips in the operating process before sealing, a special resin profile strip is used.
To apply the strip, place the strip applicator with the bobbin at the start of the strip, put the start of the strip into the seam and then, inserting the adhesive strip with the machine into the seam, move the machine along the entire seam. The heavy metal roller of the machine places a resin profile at the same level as the floor surface. Due to its special form, the strip is securely fixed in the seam.
Sealing of the seams with polyurethane seals
To seal the seams do not pull out the profile, lower it into the seam with a flat instrument to a depth of 2cm. Thus, the strip acts as a hermetic seal. After removing dust and priming the seam, use the dual component seal Linofog.
The Linofog seal completely seals the seam. Moreover it has a high level of elasticity and provides mechanical stability for the seams and prevents damage from mechanical loads.
